Chapter 3 Goodies

Image
Hellooooooo!  Welcome back to my blog! How exciting are the Chapter 3 goodies! I have really enjoyed creating with these amazing dies and the leather embossing folder - which is so cool! I have combined one of the projects with both the skinny book box and the embossing folder. So let’s get started! Here is the gorgeous box that I have used to stand cards in. 5 x 7 inch cards fit perfectly in it! It’s such a cool invention by Eileen Hull!I wanted to create something bright and of course floral, so here it is! A close up of the flower, with the gorgeous sparkly gems in the centres of each 3D flower. Label ‘Cards’ added to the bottom right-hand corner to complete the design. I love the patterned thinlet die, it’s so delicate and pretty. I had to use it on a greetings card, it really sets the flowers off and adds texture and interest into the card! Don’t you think this die is stunning?! 3D flowers with flower centres to give the card depth and interest. I love making these 3D flowers, t

Hi all!  Hope you are all doing well and crafting away! I thought for July’s project I would create something using a die which I haven’t used for ages! - the passport book! It maybe a small book but it can certain be compacted full of all sorts of memories and treasures from your holidays! Below, is a step-by-step process on how I made it; Step 1: I die cut the base for the book Step 2: I covered the front and back cover with maps, then inside each cover I used blue textured paper… Step 3: I added blue texture paper to the spine of the book… Step 4: I assembled the book with hot glue… Step 5: I added some strips of paper to the front cover of the book as I wanted to add some wording to the front but at the same time I wanted the wording to stand out and not blend in with the map! Step 6: I added wording and a plane to the front cover… Step 7: A strip of blue was added to the middle of the spine… Step 8: Inside the front cover, I added 3 little pouches where you can store notes from

Good day all and Happy June! Hope you are all keeping well and are busy crafting away! So, this month the theme is ‘Left Over Love’ (using scraps, up-cycle, recycle. And reuse etc) for the Eileen Hull Design Teams. This month I have created this sweet little mini book using Eileen Hull’s Mini Book Die (664423). I have used left over background paper which I created a while ago. It already had some hand drawn illustrations on but I added more to give it that texture feel. Scrap ribbon was added to the spine of the book and then plain pages were added inside the book - perfect for jotting down all those happy memories and happy times over the Summer! ☀️🕶⛱☀️❤️ Below are step-by-step photographs, from start to finish… I have a huge box of scraps… Extra pen detail was added to the front and reverse of the book… Ribbon was added to the spine to add some sparkle! I decided to add more pen details to the reverse of the book using both white gel pen and a black marker pen… White pen detail w

Hello! Hope you are all keeping well. So, May is bird-themed month in the Eileen Hull Fan Club and teams! I wanted to create something very different so here we are…. This handmade bird feeder was created using Eileen Hull’s Gift Box die (with a few adjustments made, it easily transformed into this handy and practical bird feeder! I have compiled a step-by-step tutorial below; Step 1: I cut out the base for my bird feeder using the gift box die (664345) Step 2: I cut a spare side with flaps, so I can attach this to the box to form a roof Step 3: The box was then glued together using hot glue and then I added one of the scalloped edges to the of the roof (sandwiched between the 2 flaps) Step 4: I added some more scalloped edges to the base of the box, one to the front and reverse Step 5: To enable the bird to reach the food in the feeder, I cut out each side Step 6: With the sides now cut out, I needed something for the birds to perch on, so I have added a piece of dowel all the
