Countryside-Themed Birthday Card

Welcome back to the blog! With the start of a new month comes a fresh creative release, and I’m excited to share what I’ve been working on.

This month, I’ve created a gated greetings card using the Garden Gate Album die (658449) by Eileen Hull. It’s such a versatile design and incredibly easy to work with, making it perfect for experimenting with different themes and styles.

Living in the countryside, I naturally felt drawn to something rustic and nature-inspired. That peaceful setting became the inspiration behind this project, influencing both the design and overall feel of the card. I love how it captures a little piece of the outdoors and brings it into a handmade creation.

I started out by creating a card with a centre opening. I then added some light blue Sizzix cardstock to the front...

I then added some green card to create the grass...

The next step was to glue on the gate...

Looks great 👍

I then used the largest of Eileen Hull's Arch Set 666980 and cut out this picture...

I cut of this cow, put some foam pads behind it and adhered it onto the gate, to give the impression of the cow this side the gate!

And lastly, I stamped out this sentiment, made the banner and added some cute hearts from Eileen Hull's Stitched Hearts Set 666813

The greetings card is now finished!

I hope this has inspired you to create a centre-opening greetings card!

See you all in June! Until then, Happy Crafting!
