Easter Chick

Spring is finally here and the gardens are starting to look colourful again! Winter always seems so long doesn't it?!

For sewing month, I have decided to create this Easter chick using felt. The dies of Eileen Hull's I used were these...

I used one of the circle dies to create the body of the chick, then the window and flowers die, to cut out the flowers. They both cut the felt out really well. I cut the wings, feet and beak out free hand.

I used a spot of glue to stick the flower to the stems, before I added some beads to the centre of each flower...

It then came to sewing and stuffing the chick! I started by sewing on the beak and eyes and then completed the rest of the chick...

I hope I have inspired you to create something this Easter, these are super for to make with the kids!
