Bloom where you are planted
Hello!
Welcome to my July blog and project for Eileen Hull Designs. This month we are focusing on the stencils and matching dies.
As with every month, I try to produce something different, so this month I have decided to a box frame with flowers and inspirational quote.
Step-by-step tutorial;
Step 1: The base coat: I used watercolour paper as the base and I worked some watercolour paint into the page and blended the background with a few colours to make it a bit different. I then used the pattern stencil and a light grey distress ink to add the detailing. I think it turned out pretty well, the photo doesn't do it justice.
Step 2: I rummaged through all my stamp quotes and decided on this to match the flower theme....
Step 3: Before adding the quote disc, I used the leaf stencils and distress ink to create this background before adding die cut flowers and leaves etc...
Does anyone else have a large selection of distress inks? I LOVE them!
Step 4: I added die cut leaves and secured them under the disc. I then die cut loads of flowers in various shades of pink...
My project is now complete....
Love how you layered!
