Hello! Happy New Year!
Well another year and of course a new Chapter release! Welcome to the Chapter 1 release! Today, I will be showing you how I created this gorgeous Artists Storage Book. Quick, easy and of course very useful! Any fellow artists out there? This year I am planning on creating more Art!
Here we go….
Step 1: I cut out the book covers from matboard…
Step 2: I cut out the attachments for the book…
Step 3: Before joining the covers of the book, I embossed and backed the insides of my storage book with textured cardstock. I am in love with Eileen Hull’s new embossing folder, how gorgeous is this lace table cloth? Beautiful!
Step 4: For this next step, I created 2 storage boxes, one for the front cover and one for the back. I covered with print texture cardstock to keep the colour theme flowing through the book.
Step 5: I started to decorate the inside of the storage book and added text using Eileen’s new lettering die…
Step 6: I created this cute little watercolour paper pad from scratch! It turned out pretty well. All i did was cut about 5 sheets of paper the same size. I cut a spine and just hot glued the pages to the spine - it was that simple! Then I just added a few simple decorations to the cover!
Step 7: I created a few inspirational cards to slot into the holder (another of Eileen’s new dies). I stamped the quotes and then just decorated around the edges with acrylic pens. I wanted to create an Artist’s quote for the front cover of my storage book too…
Step 8: I added the Artist quote to the front cover, and added a bow to finish!
Inside the storage book. There is plenty of space for brushes and of course a small paint palette or small tubes of paint. Handy to take with you on painting trips!
To complete my Storage book, I added another quote and a couple of paint brushes to the front cover.
Thank you all for stopping by my blog! Don’t forget to check out the rest of the teams blogs! There are some amazing projects out there! Head over to www.eileenhull.com
Take care
