Sparkly Poinsettia
Good day all!
I hope you are all ok and busy crafting ready for Christmas!
I have created this gorgeous, sparkly poinsettia flower with sequins in the centre.
This month’s subject is ‘Sparkle and Shine’, so a sparkly Poinsettia it is! I have created this using felt with Eileen Hull’s new Sunflower die. I love the versatility of this die!
I have done a short step-by-step tutorial with how I created this elegant decoration. It only takes about 15 minutes to create! Perfect quick project idea!
Step 1: I cut the components for the poinsettia, including 3 x leaves…
Step 2: I started to sew some beautiful gold sequins to the centre of the flower and at the same time, sewing the flower layers together!
Step 3: Once all the sequins were sewn on, I then sewed the leaves to the poinsettia flower…
Step 4: So, now I am ready to add the ribbon to the reverse of the decoration. The ‘Sunflower centre’, will be added to the reverse to cover the ribbon and stitches.
Step 5: To complete, I hot glued the ribbon on first then attached the cover! A simple to pretty project to hang on your tree this Christmas!
Thank you for visiting my blog! Happy crafting all!
