Summer Holiday!

 

Welcome to the 2nd part of the Chapter 2 release party. Here I have incorporated the Scoreboards Camper 3D die with the Display Stand die to turn it into a little ornament feature. Here is a step-by-step tutorial....

Step 1: I cut out the base of my design with matboard...

Step 2: I then decided on my background theme, which of course will be a seaside scene, there’s nothing better than escaping to the beach to get away from it all! I started stamping on my scene to the display stand. At this stage, I also added a blue sheet of card behind the background scene...

Step 3: I then started to add watercolour pearlescent paints...

Step 4: Once the paint was dry, I went over the black with a pen to make it stand out more...

Step 5: I decorated the trailer and attached this to the display stand using a small piece of matboard and hot glue. I used PVA glue on the base of the display stand and then added some sand to give it that beach feel...

Step 6: I darkened the trailer using pink, just to make it stand out more and highlight certain areas...

Step 7: I then started adding embellishments to my design, like buckets & spade, wooden beach sign and bunting. My design is now complete!
