We appreciate your love and support, friends!

As always, I wanted to keep my positivity theme going. We all need some positive vibes during these difficult times during the pandemic. This folder is full of inspirational words and quotes.

So, let me show you how I made it in a step-by-step tutorial.

Step 1: I chose my colour theme/background paper.

Step 2: I added the background paper to the folder cover. I decided to leave a small gap around the edge as I want to use some distress ink to give it that aged feeling.

Step 3: I then used hot glue to attach each half of the folder together.

Step 4: I added the doily to the front cover and glued into place.

Step 5: I used some adhesive letters to add to the front cover, blending the colour in with the background paper.

Step 6: I wanted to take the harshness away from the white doily, so I used distress ink ‘vintage photo’ to soften the look.

Step 7: I added some cogs to the cover and of course a key!

Step 8: I used the same distress ink to distress the edges of the folder. Then added so cute leaves around the flower and key just to fill in that gap.

Step 9: I cut out the book cover for inside the folder. I created a little wood plaque to go into the corner of the front cover.

Step 10: Distress ink (same shade) was then added to the edges of the white card.

Step 11: I glued the card to the main cover of the book and added a sweet wooden bird. Book inserts were then cut and added inside.

Step 12: I wanted to make the whole project blend together so I added some cogs to the front of the book.

Step 13: I added background paper to the inside of the folder.

Step 14: I fastened the book to the folder using silk thread (brown).

Step 15: Added another doily and more white card with distressed edges, to the edges of the folder as pictured below;

Step 16: On top of the doily I added some fabric. Wording was added to the white card and a positive quote was safely tucked behind.

Step 17: I added a cog to the white card and added the words ‘Self Confidence’ in the centre of the folder. Self confidence to me, feels like that journey to help you feel happier, to be more confident with who you are.

Step 18: My folder and book are now complete.
