Happiness Journal

Hello!

Welcome to my blog! Hope you are all keeping well and busy crafting ready for the festive season! 

I have created this stunning ‘Happiness Journal’ using the following;

- Eileen Hull’s Full Size Notebook die 665589 

- Eileen Hull Bigz L Die - Sunflower 666045

- Sizzix Surfacez 12” Cork Roll 663892

I will guide you through the step-by-step process…

Step 1: I cut out 2 x matboard covers and 4 x cork roll covers. The cork roll covers were then glued on to each side of both covers.

Step 2: I hot glued both spines together and edged the spine with some gorgeous lace ribbon…

Step 3: Using the centre piece of the sunflower, I inserted them into this beautiful heart embossing folder and fed through the machine. How gorgeous does the embossed cork look?

Step 4: Next stage is the add some texture onto the front cover and to the centre of the sunflowers. I used some distress ink and a brick effect stencil to add some detail to the cork on the front cover. I also added ink to the edges of the journal. 

I highlighted the sunflower centres and wow! Look at the embossed hearts now?!

Step 5: The final step is to layer up the sunflowers and glue to the front cover. I added a motivational quote to the cover too. My project is now complete!
